Leaf Collection Slated for December

In December, residents of subdivisions and villages, except for Haskins, should expect to see township personnel collecting leaves that have been raked to the curb. Residents should not include any grass, brush or garbage with their leaves as the township does not provide disposal service of these materials. Inclement weather could delay pick up.

November Zoning Commission Meeting Cancelled

The Middleton Township Zoning Commission meeting scheduled for 7 pm on November 11, 2020, has been cancelled. The next meeting is scheduled for December 9, 2020.

Home, Small Business Water & Sewer Bill Assistance Available through Ohio Grants; NWWSD Customers Can Also Donate to Assist Others

The Northwestern Water and Sewer District wants area residents and businesses to know about two programs funded through the federal CARES Act available to help individuals and small businesses with their water and sewer bills during the COVID-19 crisis.  Full details including an application link are available here.

Middleton Township Trustee Vacancy/Appointment

The Middleton Township Board of Trustees is accepting letters of interest and resumes of experience for the position of Trustee for Middleton Township by Monday, November 2, 2020. The appointed Trustee will fill an unexpired term that runs through December 31, 2021. The current seat is held by Penelope Getz, whose retirement is effective November 30, 2020.

Trustee Penelope Getz Announces Retirement, Effective November 30, 2020

Middleton Township Trustee Penny Getz announced yesterday she will retire from the Board of Trustees effective November 30, 2020. An appointment to her seat will be made in December by Trustees Jim Bostdorff and Fred Vetter. This appointment will run through Getz’s unexpired term ending December 31, 2021. 

Township Road District Tax Levy on 2020 Ballot

A two (2) mil replacement levy for the purpose of General Construction, Reconstruction, Resurfacing and Repair of Streets, Roads and Bridges is on the 2020 ballot. The levy will be for three (3) years. 

County Health Department Issues COVID-19 Community Talking Points

The Wood County Health Department (WCHD) issued talking points today to help the community live and work safely during the pandemic. Topics covered understanding and following guidelines and best practices regarding work, school, eating out and events as well as flu shots and preparing for distribution of a COVID-19 vaccine. The WCHD communication also included useful links for event organizers and bar and restaurant owners.

July Zoning Commission Meeting Cancelled

The Middleton Township Zoning Commission meeting scheduled for 7 pm on July 8, 2020, has been cancelled. The next meeting is scheduled for August 12, 2020.

Township Accepting Dunbridge Road Improvement Bid Proposals

Sealed proposals will be received at the office of the Middleton Township Trustees until 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, July 15, 2020 for furnishing all labor, materials, and equipment necessary for Road Improvements to Dunbridge Road (from Sugar Ridge Road to Dowling Road) in Middleton Township.

The Notice to Bidders and all contract documents, bid sheets, plans, and specifications are available for download below or for pick up by contacting the Fiscal Officer at 419-352-1480 or emailing middletonfo@frontier.com to schedule an appointment.

PLEASE NOTE: Contractors must email the Fiscal Officer at middletonfo@frontier.com when bid documents have been downloaded in the event an addendum must be issued.
