The Middleton Township Board of Trustees is accepting letters of interest and resumes for the joint position of Zoning Inspector | Road Maintenance Staff until Friday, April 2, 2021. This full-time job combines the duties of the zoning inspector along with responsibilities of the road maintenance department. The job description is available here.

In Memorium: Middleton Township Zoning Inspector, Jeff Ford

It is with heavy hearts that we mourn the loss of our long-time zoning inspector, Jeff Ford, who passed away peacefully at his home on March 3, 2021. Jeff was an integral part of our staff and provided many years of dedicated service to Middleton Township. March Zoning Commission Meeting Canceled

The Middleton Township Zoning Commission meeting originally scheduled for March 10, 2021 at 7 pm has been canceled. The next meeting is scheduled for April 14, 2021 at 7 pm.

National Weather Service Offering Virtual Skywarn Spotter Classes

Beginning March 2, 2021, NWS Cleveland will offer six virtual Skywarn Spotter classes via gotowebinar and one Facebook live class, leading into Ohio Severe Weather Awareness Week, March 21 ‒ 26. MTFD 46th Annual Square & Round Dance Cancelled

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, this year’s Middleton Township Fire Department Square and Round Dance scheduled for February 6, 2021, has been cancelled. We hope you’ll join us next year as we’re planning to kick up our heels and continue this fun mid-winter tradition on February 5, 2022.

Be in the Know on Snow Emergencies, Removal Protocol

The Middleton Township Trustees and Road Department remind you that a snow emergency may be declared when two or more inches of snow accumulates on township roads and/or blowing and drifting snow has accumulated six inches on any township road or highway. Refer to the Roads Department page for more details, including

  • Which roads the township plows and when
  • What happens if your vehicle remains parked in a snow emergency route
  • What to do if your mailbox is damaged as a result of township snow removal

Donald Cromley Appointed Middleton Township Trustee

Donald Cromley has been appointed by the Board of Trustees to fill the vacant seat created by the retirement of Penelope Getz. Don is a lifelong resident of the township and served as a member of the Middleton Township Fire Department for over 38 years, was a past member of the Zoning Commission and most recently served as a member of the Board of Zoning Appeals. The term for the seat he is filling expires December 31, 2021.

January Zoning Commission Meeting Cancelled

The Middleton Township Zoning Commission meeting scheduled for 7 pm on January 13, 2021, has been cancelled. The next meeting is scheduled for February 10, 2021.

NWWSD Hosting Sugar Ridge / Mercer Road Sewer Project Public Teleconference, Webinar

The Northwestern Water and Sewer District will host a public meeting regarding the Sugar Ridge | Mercer Road Sewer Project on Wednesday, December 16, at 6 p.m. The meeting will take place remotely via teleconference and webinar.
