Special Meeting/Electric Aggregation Information Session Slated for September 26

The Middleton Township Board of Trustees have placed electric aggregation on the November 7th, 2023, ballot, providing township residents with the opportunity to vote on aggregation ‒ an electricity generation option other than through the primary provider. A “yes” vote on the measure would allow the township to leverage purchasing power to secure a potential discount for residents. As such, a special meeting of the Board of Trustees has been scheduled for 7 pm on September 26, 2023, at the township hall. The purpose of this meeting is to provide information, and a consultant from Palmer Energy Company of Toledo will be on hand to present an overview of aggregation and answer questions. Of note, many townships in Wood County already participate in aggregation and there is no fee to opt out at any time for residents who prefer not to take part.
